The Person Behind the Ventures

The Journey

Every venture begins with a question. Mine started with: How do we build things that matter while staying true to ourselves?

After years of working in technology and observing how systems scale, break, and evolve, I became convinced that the most important work happens at the intersection of bold ambition and grounded principles.

The name N4N represents this duality โ€” ventures that are for something larger than themselves, navigating (n-dimensional) possibilities while remaining anchored to nature and necessity.

Principles

Build for the Long Term

The best systems are designed for decades, not quarters. We prioritize durability over growth, sustainability over speed.

Stay Close to the Ground

Whether it's understanding the actual problem before building a solution, or literally growing food in the garden โ€” staying grounded keeps us honest.

Venture Boldly

Comfort is the enemy of growth. The frontier is uncomfortable by definition, but that's where the most important work happens.

Share Openly

Knowledge wants to be free. We document our journeys, share our learnings, and contribute back to the commons.

Background

My path has wound through software engineering, systems architecture, and the occasional detour into permaculture and traditional crafts. Each experience reinforced the same lessons:

  • Complexity is expensive โ€” simple systems win
  • Dependencies are liabilities โ€” self-sufficiency creates resilience
  • People matter most โ€” technology is just a tool

I'm based somewhere with good internet and good soil. The specific location matters less than the work.

Current Focus

Through Skye Labs, I'm building infrastructure and tools for the next generation of independent builders.

Through investments, I support founders who share the vision of a more decentralized, self-sufficient future.

Through the R3 Commons Foundation, I work to democratize access to knowledge and opportunity.
